Material Examined.--CAROLINE IS.: Yap, Colonia, St. Mary's School, sweeping bushes, 1-III-1980, 1 female (J.W. Berry).

Note. I do not remember reason why my co-authors omitted publication of this species, I correct this now. The species is named as hommage to Mrs. Elisabeth R. Berry, who has for over 20 years accompanied Dr. J. W. Berry in all his trip and collected numerous Salticidae, contributing greatly to the success of our research.

Diagnosis.-- Epigyne comparable with Cosmophasis arborea, but with striking differences in short, broad shape and hind angles of epigyne concave.

Description.--Female: Cephalothorax whitish yellow with greenish shade, eye field slightly darker, greenish grey; greyish shade is result of dense, colorless, broad, adpressed scales, practically invisible, except on darker areas around eyes; lower rim of cephalothorax dark grey. Abdomen light brownish yellow, with darker pattern of thin irregular darker lines of darker scales along lateral margins and three transverse lines, more contrasting than in Cosmophasis arborea, and with some scattered white scales; spinnerets light greyish with darker tips. Minute light bristles scattered over abdomen are practically invisible on the dark background. Frontal aspect--whitish, framed dorsally by dark grey eye field; eyes I surrounded with white scales, dorsally also a few yellowish, clypeus reduced to nil, with a triangle of longer scales between AME and a few hanging down from the edge, also a few brownish bristles. Chelicerae whitish with a greenish shade. Pedipalps white, with tip of tarsus yellowish. Ventral aspect-- whitish, resembling coloration of freshly molted specimens; chelicerae with single retromarginal tooth (unidentate). Epigynum typical for Cosmophasis with two narrow grooves separated by a narrow rise, posterior sclerotized part of plate has bent inwardly edges. Legs I-II missing, III and IV white. Type specimen, labelled only with collecting label, is kept in the collection of J.W. Berry."
